Crowd Safety Planning

Kennedy Crowd Safety Solutions provides a professional level of crowd management  planning  developed through higher education and years of practical application.

Much of the crowd science is based upon a combination of mathematics and psychology,  and further understanding how crowd behaviour is influenced by design, information and management. These are not simple concepts that can be applied as a one size fits all. We can provide clients with a professional level of crowd safety expertise that understands the most complicated concepts including:

  • Risks associated with high density static crowds and the moving space requirements for dynamic crowds

  • How “shock waves” are formed and how to prevent them

  • How a spatial analysis can support a crowd management plan

  • How to use RAMP analyses for planning and managing crowds

  • How crowd behaviour can be influenced through design, information and management

  • How different queueing systems can influence behaviour

  • Network modelling and how to maximize crowd flow efficiency

  • Crowd behaviours during emergency situations.

  • history of crowd disasters and how to prevent a recurrence of avoidable situations

Our final product will provide the client with a comprehensive crowd management plan that will promote public safety and support a positive client experience. Contact us to see how we can help support you.

Security and Safety Planning

Our experience in planning open access, high risk, national level events has required that we remain highly adaptive in our planning strategies. Identifying the potential risks and developing effective mitigation and response strategies assists in reducing potential harm.

We can provide support in detailing and drafting an overarching safety and security plan which may include the following support documents:

  • Event risk assessment matrix

  • Responsibility matrix (RACI)

  • Emergency response procedures (including response to natural disasters, accidents or criminal/terrorist incidents)

  • Evacuation planning

  • Show-stop procedures

  • Emergency communications considerations

Kennedy Crowd Safety Solutions also has extensive experience creating training packages and delivering briefings for event staff. Ensuring that each person is aware of their role during regular and emergency operations is critical to the success of an event. Contact us to arrange a discussion about planning your event.
